We are working at the moment on the construction of a small sloop, the Gorfou, using Patrick Balta's plan in monolithic infused polyester fibreglass.
The Gorfou is a sailing boat architecturally very different from modern trends. It associates traditional lines, of an aesthetic high-performance slim hull. Her deep keel helps insure good close tacking but we have made it retractable to render the boat easier to transport and moor.
She has a full batten or Gunter (Houari) rigging which is easily dismantled and stored on deck.
The Gorfou's hull will be built using the vacuum infusion method. A process that complies to the protection of the environmental laws. It allows us to produce quality composite due to proper layers of fibre, resin-saturated in a good fibre ratio mould.
The deck and fixtures are in maritime epoxy-saturated plywood.
We can deliver the boat at any stage of the build.
